This Social Contract explains something different:
Who we are.
What we believe.
And the kind of community we hope to build together.
This document is not a legal agreement.
It is a statement of values.
1. We Believe Creativity Matters
DreamPetal Studios exists because someone dared to imagine something that did not yet exist. Stories matter. Art matters. Music matters. Games matter. Creativity is one of the most powerful things people can share with one another. We encourage experimentation, imagination, and the courage to create.
2. We Believe People Matter More Than Platforms
Games are important. Communities are important. Technology is important. People are more important. No feature, system, event, update, or project is more valuable than the people who participate in it. We will strive to treat our community members as human beings first and users second.
3. We Believe Respect Creates Better Communities
Respect does not require agreement. People can disagree. People can debate. People can have different experiences and perspectives. Healthy communities make room for differences while maintaining mutual respect. We ask our community members to engage with one another in good faith whenever possible.
4. We Believe Everyone Deserves a Place at the Table
DreamPetal Studios welcomes people from diverse backgrounds, experiences, identities, and walks of life. We believe communities become stronger when different voices are heard. We are committed to creating spaces where people can participate without fear of harassment, exclusion, or discrimination.
5. We Believe Curiosity Is More Valuable Than Certainty
No person knows everything. No community gets everything right. Learning requires humility. Growth requires curiosity. We encourage asking questions, sharing knowledge, and remaining open to new ideas.
6. We Believe Collaboration Creates Better Worlds
The greatest projects are rarely built alone. Whether someone contributes art, code, writing, feedback, moderation, testing, bug reports, music, or simply kindness, every contribution matters. Communities thrive when people help one another succeed.
7. We Believe Trust Must Be Earned
Trust cannot be demanded. Trust is built through honesty, consistency, transparency, and accountability. We will make mistakes. When we do, we will strive to acknowledge them, learn from them, and do better. We ask the same of ourselves that we ask of our community.
8. We Believe Fairness Matters
Rules should exist to protect people and support healthy communities. Rules should not exist merely to exercise power. We will strive to apply policies consistently and fairly while recognizing that every situation has context.
9. We Believe Safety and Freedom Must Coexist
People should feel free to express themselves, share ideas, and be creative. People should also feel safe while doing so. Balancing these values is not always easy, but it is a responsibility we take seriously.
10. We Believe Communities Are Built Together
DreamPetal Studios is not simply a collection of websites, games, forums, or applications. A community is created by the people who choose to participate in it. Every helpful reply. Every creative contribution. Every act of kindness. Every friendship. Every shared story. These are the things that transform a service into a community.
11. We Believe in Wonder
We believe there is value in imagination. We believe there is value in hope. We believe there is value in creating worlds worth exploring. DreamPetal Studios exists because we believe people still benefit from places where creativity, curiosity, and community can flourish.
